Fiscal Sponsorship

For many years, the Lander Community Foundation (LCF) has been helping local charitable projects that have not obtained nonprofit status get off the ground. By providing fiscal and administrative support in the form of fiscal sponsorships, LCF allows new charitable organizations the opportunity to pursue their initiatives, while they work to develop the infrastructure they need to operate independently as a charitable organization.

How It Works

Fiscal sponsorship arrangements are not a source of funding from LCF to the project. LCF simply maintains fiscal custody of the project's charitable account and provides disbursement and accounting services for which it assesses a nominal fee to the project.

  • LCF will retain 4% of any pass-through donation—donations made out to LCF (earmarked for your organization) for those who want a tax-deductible acknowledgment of their donation.

  • We also require an annual $100 fee in order to be sponsored.

We are currently sponsoring seven organizations as their fiscal sponsor.
